Steubenville on the Bayou

Steubenville on the Bayou is sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville and the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. Since 2006, they have worked together to provide a powerful weekend of evangelization for Catholic teens. Located at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center, Steubenville on the Bayou provides a setting for developing a deeper relationship with Jesus through a weekend conference centered on Eucharistic Adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

A Steubenville Youth Conference is an event that addresses the needs of today’s Catholic youth. We have an exciting line up of speakers, musicians, and entertainers. Some highlights of the weekend are: Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, men’s and women’s sessions, small group discussion time and meeting new friends.

Participants Attend in Groups!

Participants must attend as part of a group. Log onto the “Participants” page of www.SteubenvilleOnTheBayou.com to register. A “group” consists of 1 Group Leader (GL) + 1 Chaperone for every 8-10 youth participants, with a minimum of 2 youth. A “youth” is defined as anyone in grades 8th through 12th for the current school year. The GL and Chaperones MUST be at least 21 years of age, it is highly recommended that the GL be 25 years old. The GL MUST be attending the conference weekend with the group and MUST be the one who is in contact with the Conference Office as well as the one who checks the group in at the start of the Conference.

*Everyone who is 18 years of age and older MUST be in compliance with their own Diocesan Policies for the Protection of Children and Young People.

Volunteers

Volunteers are the backbone of the Bayou Conference. We invite adults 18 and over to register as volunteers. All volunteers must have up-to-date Diocesan Safe Environment Training through their Church Parish/Diocese. For those adults who cannot be present during the weekend, we ask for your Intercessory Prayer for the Bishop, speakers, musicians, staff, volunteers and participants.

Group Registration Fees

$150 per registrant (this includes Group Leaders and Chaperones)
A deposit of $50 per spot is due 2 weeks after registering group.
Registration will remain open until conference is full!
ALL DEPOSITS & PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

If you are a youth in our parish, a parent, an interested adult, or a person from another parish that wants to know what is going on...then this is the place for YOU!!

If you want to learn more about your Catholic faith, learn how to form good relationships with all the people in your life, and do service for God's people, then be part of what we do!!

All youth in our parish of St. Ann, Bourg, LA are part of our youth ministry. There is no joining...there are no fees...JUST COME!!

All youth from other parishes and other faiths are welcome, as well!!

All adult youth ministers (18 or older) are safe environment trained through the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. Contact our church office if you are interested in assisting us.
